Awhina (caring) Tree

Last week we looked at what Awhina (caring) looks like.  This included caring for ourselves, other people as well as how to care for our pets.

We categorised a variety of pictures of individuals caring and not caring during our Speech Therapy Session with Helen.

Ruma Wha worked collabaratively to trace around our hands on different coloured pieces of paper.  We then created a beautiful caring tree with all of our tamariki hand prints.

All of the children enjoyed sticking their handprints onto the tree.

Please feel free to come and see our Caring Tree in the classroom.
